Tribune and the Sword

In the latest installment of Adam Lofthouse's Shadow of Rome series, set in August 383 AD, Flavius Maximus has declared himself emperor and entered Gaul amidst a civil war, leading to a clash of two powerful leaders: Theodosius in the East and Maximus in the West. Both men command armies with contrasting strengths and loyalties, while old friends Tribune Sixtus Victorinus and General Gaius Felicius find themselves on opposing sides.
