Clemency Kivell, a free-spirited woman proud of her music shop in the industrial village of Meryen, becomes entangled in a series of romantic and community events that threaten to disrupt her life. As the village faces various troubles—from personal confessions to community conflicts—she must navigate her feelings and relationships carefully.
