Dark Night

In the remote town of Benedict, Alaska, winter brings not only cold but also an unwelcome census man who disrupts the community's secrecy. Thriller writer Beth Rivers is startled by her mother Mill's unexpected return after a long search for Beth's kidnapper, intensifying their concerns about safety. When a battered woman appears in town and her husband is subsequently found dead, suspicions arise around the census man, leading to a web of intrigue involving the local police and Beth's quest for answers.
