Winter's End

In springtime Benedict, Alaska, the community observes the annual Death Walk, a tradition aimed at checking on those who might be isolated after winter. Beth Rivers embarks on a mission with her friend Orin and her dog Gus to visit an elderly resident, but when Orin goes missing after seeking help, Beth uncovers a web of secrets, including Orin's clandestine research. As she navigates her friend's disappearance, Beth also grapples with her own quest to connect with her estranged father in Mexico—all while sensing an unseen presence tracking her.
