The Dilemma

In 1958, novelist Esme travels to Guernsey to investigate the murder conviction of housemaid Clara, who may have been wrongfully accused during the tumultuous post-World War II period. This journey serves as a chance for Esme to delve into her family history and heal from a personal heartbreak. Intertwined with Esme's story is that of Jane, who married her childhood sweetheart before World War I but must confront her painful past when tragedy strikes.
