The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth

In this audiobook, narrated by Ron Altman, Thomas Jefferson presents a unique interpretation of the Gospels by distilling the ethical teachings of Jesus into a concise treatise, removing references to miracles and supernatural events. Compiled in 1803, Jefferson arranged the passages thematically to highlight moral principles, aiming to create an accessible text comparable to other ethical works like the Dhammapada. He intended this abridged version of the New Testament as a philosophical guide, particularly for Indigenous people, focusing solely on comprehensible moral teachings.
