In 1930s New York, the charismatic illusionist Art Hardwicke, known as Supermind, uses his mentalist abilities to combat crime alongside his manager, Lady Daphne Witcombe, and manservant, Frampton. When he saves society heiress Anastasia Del Ray from a kidnapping, she vows to make a movie about his adventures, featuring herself as the lead. Meanwhile, Professor Fenella Vaytell plots a sinister scheme to control the minds of the nation for her Nazi benefactors, putting everyone at risk.
