Gone Dark

In a gripping tale set against the backdrop of late-summer wildfires in Montana, Matthew Redd, head of the local search and rescue team, finds himself entangled in a deadly mystery when a team of smoke jumpers goes missing. After discovering that a killer has targeted the smoke jumpers and two civilians, Redd teams up with his FBI contact, Gavin Kline, to unravel a web of corruption linked to a retired doctor and the opioid crisis. Meanwhile, Redd's wife, Emily, grapples with her own demons after losing a patient to overdose, leading them both to confront the daunting forces at play.
