Five Children and It

When siblings Robert, Anthea, Cyril, Jane, and their baby brother dig a hole in hopes of reaching Australia, they unexpectedly encounter a furry sand-fairy named Psammead, who grants them wishes with a twist: all wishes vanish at sunset. As the children navigate the ups and downs of wish-making, they learn that desires can have unforeseen consequences, reminding them to be cautious about what they wish for.
