Peacemaker

In this historical novel, a 12-year-old Iroquois boy named Okwaho finds his world turned upside down after his best friend is kidnapped by marauders. As his village grapples with fear and violence from ongoing tribal wars, Okwaho yearns for revenge. However, a mystical figure known as the Peacemaker appears, urging him to consider a path toward peace. Inspired by the Peacemaker's message, Okwaho becomes part of the movement that ultimately leads to the formation of the Iroquois Confederacy.
