An archaeology crew has been dispatched to investigate the discovery of a skull from the fur trade era, sparking a blend of work and adventure as they uncover deeper secrets along the Nipigon River. Their short ride transforms into a quest to find the rest of the skeleton, revealing the remains of Lewis Dufresne, a murdered voyageur from the 18th century. Awakened by the unearthing of his bones, Lewis is filled with anger, lust, and a primal hunger, particularly fixating on one of the archaeologists, as he navigates the vastly different world of the twenty-first century.
