Friend or Foe

In "Friend or Foe," master storyteller Michael Morpurgo follows the journey of David and Tucky, two boys evacuated from London during World War II who believe they've escaped the horrors of war in their new rural home. However, their sense of security is shattered when the distant sounds of battle return on a dark night. When a German bomber crashes nearby, the boys grapple with their feelings as one airman saves David's life, prompting them to reconsider their understanding of enemy and ally.
