Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Sir Michael Morpurgo, in collaboration with the RSC, reimagines two of Shakespeare’s beloved plays, Romeo and Juliet and A Midsummer’s Night Dream, through engaging audio readings performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company and Morpurgo himself. These vibrant retellings aim to preserve the original’s imagination while offering a fresh and accessible perspective, making them appealing to both young readers and Shakespeare enthusiasts. The recordings are complemented by lively introductions, incidental music, and direction by Hal Chambers and Aaron Parsons. Future installments will feature other iconic Shakespeare works.
