Death on the Downs

During a walk on the West Sussex Downs, Carole Seddon stumbles upon a human skeleton hidden in blue fertilizer bags, prompting her and her neighbor Jude to launch their second investigation. Their quest leads them to the hamlet of Weldisham, where the remains are linked to a missing young woman, Tamsin Lutteridge. As they delve into local gossip and tensions, questions arise about Tamsin's fate and the unsettling behavior of various villagers, all while Jude seeks answers and Carole uncovers the darker history of the seemingly tranquil community.
