After an Antarctic ice quake awakens a colossal creature from the depths, rookie crab fisherman Henry Rainwater is left traumatized, having lost his father and crew to the beast. As he retreats from society, only scientist Andrews believes his harrowing tale, though he harbors his own agenda.
