The Technician

In a post-Theocracy world ruled by the Polity on Masada, the rebellious Tidy Squad targets the elusive Jeremiah Tombs, who has escaped a sanatorium and struggles with his fractured mind. As war drone Amistad embarks on a quest for the critical information Tombs may hold regarding the suicide of an entire alien race, he is joined by a former rebel Commander, a black AI named Penny Royal, and the amphidapt Chanter. Meanwhile, a long-dormant mechanism from the alien Atheter begins to awaken, hinting at impending chaos in deep space.
