In Nazi-occupied Paris, artisan Capucine Benoit and her father must adapt to survive as their world crumbles under German occupation. Betrayed and arrested for political beliefs, Capucine is sent to a prison camp hidden within the Lévitan department store, where she faces morally complex challenges while sorting through looted art and goods. Meanwhile, her daughter Mathilde, sheltered by her conservative grandparents, begins to question her upbringing and is drawn into the world of the Résistance after her mother's arrest. As their paths intertwine through a risky offer from an old acquaintance, both women grapple with survival, identity, and the hope for a future together.
