Set in England in 1238, this story follows Adela of Waringham, who is sent to serve the king's sister and later marries a knight, and Bedric, a peasant's son who toils under the yoke of serfdom. After fleeing from harsh circumstances, Bedric encounters Simon de Montfort in London, while the land faces plagues, famines, and the outbreak of war around 1258. Their lives are intertwined by love and history during a tumultuous time, but the full story remains to be discovered.
