The Opener

In "The Opener," the third book in the Vera Crus Funny Cozy Mystery series, a snowstorm traps a group of hunters, game wardens, and locals on a mountain in Potter County during opening day of rifle season, where they encounter a puzzling death at the deer camp. With a cast of colorful characters—including an accountant, a Pittsburgh man, and a beloved doe—the story combines humor, heart, and a clever mystery rooted in the woodlands. Set against the backdrop of tradition and small-town camaraderie, this book promises engaging clues and memorable moments without graphic violence or explicit scenes.
