Freedom Swimmer

Ming, who survived the famine that claimed his parents, works hard in the rural fields of China, where the arrival of city boys as part of a Communist reeducation program introduces new perspectives. Despite their differences, Ming befriends a charismatic city boy named Li, and together they explore their shared dreams and ambitions. As the hardships of life under the Party deepen, the boys begin to imagine the possibility of freedom beyond their current circumstances.
