Dave Meggyesy, a former outside linebacker for the St. Louis Cardinals, candidly shares his experiences to expose the darker aspects of professional football, including issues like racism, drug abuse, and violence. His memoir not only challenged the sports world upon its release but also reflects his ongoing commitment to social justice and players' rights, particularly through his work with the NFLPA.
