John Stryker Meyer is an American author, journalist, and Vietnam War veteran who served with the clandestine MACV-SOG as a Green Beret. After a career in journalism, he began writing firsthand nonfiction about the secret war in Vietnam, including Across the Fence, On the Ground, and SOG Chronicles. His work preserves the experiences and history of Special Operations forces and fellow veterans.
