Elaine Johns is a Belfast-born author based in Cornwall. After careers as a jazz singer, flautist, journalist and Bahrain Television presenter, she began writing short stories for UK women’s magazines and later published novels. She writes both contemporary and historical women’s fiction, with a particular interest in wartime stories set in the 1940s and 1950s, including the Cornish Wartime Story series.
