Ann Bennett is a British author of historical fiction who has been writing for more than three decades. Her first published novel, A Daughter’s Quest (originally Bamboo Heart), was released in 2014 and drew on research into her father’s experiences as a Japanese prisoner of war on the Thai-Burma Railway. She writes emotionally driven stories inspired by true events, often set during the Second World War or in 1930s India and Southeast Asia, and publishes with Bookouture and through her own Andaman Press.
