Jeffrey Fleishman is a Pulitzer Prize finalist and longtime foreign correspondent who wrote for the Philadelphia Inquirer and Los Angeles Times, serving as a bureau chief in Rome, Berlin, and Cairo. His reporting on war and international affairs informed his first novel, Promised Virgins: A Novel of Jihad, published in 2009. He has since written five novels, including the literary fiction titles Shadow Man and Promised Virgins and the Sam Carver crime-noir trilogy: My Detective, Last Dance, and Good Night, Forever.
