Dave Stanton is an American author of hard-boiled crime fiction, best known for his Dan Reno private-eye series and his newer Dan Reynolds series. He has written nine Dan Reno novels plus one Dan Reynolds novel, drawing on settings and experiences from Northern California and the Great Basin. Stanton holds a journalism degree from San Jose State University and lives in San Jose, California.
