Richard Snow is an American historian, novelist, and nonfiction writer who worked at American Heritage magazine for nearly four decades, including seventeen years as editor-in-chief. He has written historical novels, poetry, biographies, and narrative histories on subjects including Henry Ford, the Civil War, World War II, Disneyland, and the U.S. Navy. Snow has also consulted on historical films and contributed to documentary projects, including work with Ken and Ric Burns.
