Lynn Harnett (1950–2012) was an American journalist, editor, book reviewer, and author of young-adult fiction. She worked for several newspapers and magazines, co-founded Kidwriters' Monthly, and served as Arts and Entertainment Editor of the Portland Press Herald. Harnett published ten books for young readers with Scholastic, often co-writing with her husband, author Rodman Philbrick, including the House on Cherry Street, Werewolf Chronicles, and Visitors series.
