Douglas A. Blackmon is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, journalist, and filmmaker. His book Slavery by Another Name grew from his investigative reporting at The Wall Street Journal and won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction. He later served as the Journal’s Atlanta bureau chief and senior national correspondent, hosted the PBS public-affairs program American Forum, and continued writing and producing work focused on race, history, and social justice.
