Lisa Genova is an American novelist and neuroscientist who began her writing career by self-publishing Still Alice in 2007. The novel became a major bestseller and was adapted into an Oscar-winning film, establishing her as a leading author of contemporary fiction about neurological conditions and their effects on individuals and families. She has since written bestselling novels including Left Neglected, Love Anthony, Inside the O'Briens, Every Note Played, and More or Less Maddy, as well as the nonfiction book Remember: The Science of Memory and the Art of Forgetting.
