Stephanie Kallos is an American novelist, essayist, and playwright who spent two decades working in theater as an actress, musician, and teacher before turning to fiction. Her short fiction has received Raymond Carver Awards and a Pushcart Prize nomination. Her debut novel, Broken for You (2004), won major regional book awards and became a Today Show Book Club selection; she followed it with Sing Them Home (2009) and Language Arts (2015). She lives near Seattle, Washington.
