Brunonia Barry is a New York Times and internationally bestselling American novelist from Salem, Massachusetts. She began her writing career with the self-published novel The Lace Reader, which was later acquired by a major publisher and became a bestseller. She went on to write The Map of True Places and The Fifth Petal; her work has been translated into more than thirty languages, and she has also contributed writing reviews and articles to publications including The Washington Post and The London Times.
