Mike Harvkey is the author of the novel In the Course of Human Events (2014), a dark, socially engaged work about radicalization and violence in the American Midwest. He handled the research and reporting for the New York Times bestselling true-crime book All-American Murder (2018), written with James Patterson and Alex Abramovich. His fiction and journalism have appeared in publications including Esquire, Salon, The Believer, Poets & Writers, and Zoetrope All-Story Magazine, and he has taught creative writing at Columbia University and other programs.
