Peter Marren is a British natural-history writer, journalist, and former government and freelance conservationist. He has written more than 20 books on plants, fungi, insects, wildlife, conservation, and military history, including Bugs Britannica, Rainbow Dust, Chasing the Ghost, After They’re Gone, The Consolation of Nature, and The Devil’s Garden. His journalism has appeared in major British newspapers and magazines, and he is known for combining scientific knowledge with accessible, often humorous storytelling.
