Dennis Brooks is a Northeast Tennessee prosecuting attorney and author of Too Pretty to Live: The Catfishing Murders of East Tennessee. A veteran of more than 100 jury trials, including 18 first-degree murder verdicts, he drew on his experience as the case’s lead prosecutor to write this true-crime account. He studied at East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee College of Law and previously worked as a sportswriter for the Johnson City Press.
