Anne Edwards was an American author, screenwriter, novelist, and biographer who began her writing career at MGM at age 17 and later sold her first screenplay, Quantez. She became best known for extensively researched biographies of celebrities, entertainers, political figures, and European royalty, including Vivien Leigh, Judy Garland, Margaret Mitchell, Ronald Reagan, Queen Mary, and Princess Diana. Edwards also wrote novels, memoirs, and children's books, and served as president of the Authors Guild.
