Kayla Whaley is a novelist and essayist, a graduate of the Clarion Writers’ Workshop, and a former editor at Disability in Kidlit. Her work has appeared in Uncanny Magazine, The Toast, and The Establishment, and she has contributed to young-adult anthologies. She is the author of the A to Z Animal Mysteries chapter-book series and has also written fiction and nonfiction for teens and adults.
