Mark Dawidziak is an American author, editor, journalist, and critic who has written or edited about 25 books. A longtime television, film, and theater critic for publications including the Akron Beacon Journal and The Plain Dealer, he is known for television histories, Mark Twain scholarship, literary biographies, and popular-culture studies. His writing also includes horror fiction and nonfiction, including Grave Secrets, The Bedside, Bathtub & Armchair Companion to Dracula, The Shawshank Redemption Revealed, and A Mystery of Mysteries: The Death and Life of Edgar Allan Poe.
