Dilly Court is a Sunday Times bestselling English author who grew up in North-East London and began her writing career in commercial television, creating scripts and advertising copy. Her first novel, Mermaids Singing, was published in 2005, and she has since written more than fifty historical novels, including family sagas set largely in turn-of-the-century London. She also writes World War II fiction under the pseudonym Lily Baxter.
