Marc Spitz (1969–2017) was an American music journalist, author, novelist, and playwright. He was a senior writer for SPIN and contributed to publications including The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Vanity Fair, Nylon, and Salon. His books include music biographies of David Bowie, Mick Jagger, and Green Day; the L.A. punk oral history We Got the Neutron Bomb; the memoir Poseur; the novels How Soon Is Never? and Too Much, Too Late; and Loud Pictures, a history of rock-and-roll cinema.
