Richard Schoch is a professor of drama at Queen’s University Belfast and the author of eight books on theatre history, Shakespeare in performance, musical theatre, and cultural history. Before beginning his academic career, he directed plays in New York City and worked for the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. His recent popular books include How Sondheim Can Change Your Life and Shakespeare’s House: A Window onto His Life and Legacy.
