Thomas R. Martin is an American classicist, historian, and author who specializes in ancient Greek and Roman history. He has taught at Harvard University, Pomona College, and the College of the Holy Cross, where he is the Jeremiah W. O’Connor Jr. Chair in Classics. His books include accessible scholarly histories of Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome, biographies of classical leaders, and studies of ancient historians; he also helped found the online Perseus Project.
