R. W. Stone worked as a veterinarian for nearly thirty years before publishing his first novel, Trail Hand: A Western Story, in 2006. Inspired by classic Western writers such as Max Brand, Zane Grey, Louis L’Amour, and Luke Short, he went on to write a series of Western novels, including Badman’s Pass, Across the Rio Bravo, and No Rest for the Restless. Stone lives in Florida with his wife and two children.
