Joshua Ferris is an American fiction writer whose debut novel, Then We Came to the End, was published in 2007 and became a National Book Award finalist. He has since written the novels The Unnamed, To Rise Again at a Decent Hour, and A Calling for Charlie Barnes, along with the story collection The Dinner Party. His fiction and short stories have appeared in publications including The New Yorker, Granta, and Best American Short Stories, and he has received the PEN/Hemingway Award and Dylan Thomas Prize.
