Elizabeth Edmondson (1948–2016) was an English novelist who also wrote as Elizabeth Aston and Elizabeth Pewsey. Born in Chile, she studied English at St Hilda’s College, Oxford, where she studied Jane Austen with biographer Lord David Cecil. She wrote Austen-inspired historical novels, family sagas, and atmospheric mysteries, including the Vintage Mysteries and A Very English Mystery series; A Matter of Loyalty was completed from her notes by her son Anselm Audley.
