Jeff Shaara is an American novelist and the son of Pulitzer Prize–winning author Michael Shaara. After the success of the film Gettysburg, he began his writing career with Gods and Generals (1996), followed by The Last Full Measure and a series of bestselling novels about the American Revolution, the Civil War, World Wars I and II, the Korean War, and other major historical conflicts.
