T. R. Napper is an Australian, Aurealis- and Ditmar Award-winning science-fiction author whose stories have appeared in Asimov’s, Interzone, and The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction. His debut short-story collection, Neon Leviathan, was followed by the award-winning cyberpunk novel 36 Streets, the novels The Escher Man and This Machine Kills Billionaires, the novella Ghost of the Neon God, and the tie-in novel Aliens: Bishop. Before writing full time, Napper worked as a diplomat and international-aid specialist throughout Southeast Asia; he holds a doctorate in creative writing focused on noir, cyberpunk, and Asian modernity.
