Nancy H. Kleinbaum (1948–2024) was an American writer and journalist who studied journalism at Northwestern University and worked as a freelance writer and magazine journalist. Her writing career focused largely on novelizations and adaptations, including D.A.R.Y.L., Growing Pains, Ghost Story, and several Doctor Dolittle books. She is best known for her 1989 novelization of the film Dead Poets Society.
