Jon Peterson is a nonfiction author and widely recognized authority on the history of games, especially tabletop role-playing games and wargames. He wrote Playing at the World, The Elusive Shift, and Game Wizards, and co-authored Dungeons & Dragons: Art & Arcana and the Heroes' Feast cookbooks. His writing has also appeared in academic anthologies and geek-culture publications including Wired, Polygon, and Boing Boing.
