Nancy Goldstone is an American author whose writing career began with Trading Up, a memoir about her brief and unexpected career as a Wall Street options trader. She has written both fiction and nonfiction, including comic mysteries, memoirs about rare-book collecting coauthored with her husband Lawrence Goldstone, and popular histories focused especially on medieval and early modern queens and other influential women. Her best-known works include Four Queens, The Lady Queen, The Maid and the Queen, The Rival Queens, Daughters of the Winter Queen, In the Shadow of the Empress, and The Rebel Empresses.
